    Barcelona Spain

I´ve landed in Barcelona! I also managed to break my camera, but no need to worry, just call my McGiver! I fixed it and I will be uploading pictures soon. Tomorrow is my first day of school, so I´m off to get some rest.

    Wish me luck!

    Egypt- Pictures #3

My most recent pictutes will take you on my journey to Western Egypt, the Baheriyya Oasis, Black Desert, White Desert, the Crysal Mountain, and the Baheriyyan family that I stayed with for two nights. The last picture of me in head dress was given to me as a present from my mother host, Amel.

Hope everyone is healthy and doing well.

    Egpt Travels

    Misa al-Khayr (Good evening),

My travels started in Cairo a few days ago, the city pictures you see are from there, but it doesn't even come close to what Cairo is really like. The first pyrimid you see is King Titi's, in Saqqara. I then went to Giza and saw the Great Pyramids and the Sphynix. One of the most amaizing sights I have ever seen in my life. The next day I took a train (and some photos on the way) to Aswan, where the great Aswan Dam is (on the Nile) and the artificial lake it created (picture with the miliarty boats). Next is Philae, on Agilkia Island. This Temple was actually moved to Agiilkia Island because the Nile Flooded so many times before the new dam was completed. The Philae Temple was for the god Isis.

Today I got up at 3am and took a three hour, military escorted, bus ride to Abu Simbel where the Great Temple of Ramses II and the Temple of Hathor (dedicated to his wife, Queen Nefertari) is currently standing. These temples were carved right into the side of the mountain and have beautiful, massive statues infront of each place, where they have been staring out onto the Nile for the past 3,200 years.

Tomorrow I sail out on a Falucca (an Egyptian sail boat) to the island of Elephantine and the island of Kitchener.

    Salam,
